In Shrouds of Skin and Bone (2023)
Head of Makeup, Monster fabrication and special effects makeup
Director: Conor Gleeson
As the head of monster fabrication, I received a rough construction of the monster head and arms (pictured) to work off of. These were then significantly altered with latex and cotton to add texture, before being painted and covered in fake bodily fluids for filming. The monster pincers on the head and the large arms were both fitted with internal mechanisms for movement. During the filming process, constant touch up were needed, as well as personal care of the actor to insure hydration and health due to constricted mobility.
The ankle wound (pictured) was a last minute addition created on set within 15 minutes using liquid latex, cotton, and fake blood.
